Here’s what’s happening in Student Government for October:

Free Food at Q&A with PPCC President, Dr. Lance Bolton, and have a meal while you talk. This event is a good place for students to voice their questions and concerns to the administration face to face. If students are unable to be present, they can email me at adonis.jaramillo@ppcc.edu or fill out comment cards in Student Life. The event runs three times this month: Downtown Campus: Monday, Oct. 16 in the Marie Walsh Sharp Creative Commons from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. ( bagels, coffee and juice will be served). Rampart Range Campus: Monday, Oct. 23 in the Atrium from 1 to 2 p.m. (sandwiches and drinks will be served). Centennial Campus: Monday, Oct. 30 in The Grove from 1 to 2 p.m. (sandwiches and drinks). All questions welcome!

SGA Joint Session meetings occur every Friday in room C-200 (Centennial) from 9 a.m. to noon. These are open to students. If students want to listen to what we are working on and doing, this is a great thing to attend. Students who attend the Joint Session will have a spot at the end to speak during the Student Voice portion.

We also have a meeting coming up on the Oct. 18 with the County Commissioner and the Autonomous  Vehicle Company to see if a plan can be worked out for the transportation of students, faculty and staff, plus Fort Carson personnel during peak hours to the Wal-mart shopping center across Academy from the Centennial Campus.
