PPCC hosted two poetry readings this week to celebrate Poetry & Prose week of Colorado Springs Arts Month. “October is designated Arts Month in many cities nationwide, including Colorado Springs, with the third week dedicated to celebrations of poetry and prose, so these events connect us with the larger community and give our fantastically talented PPCC writers a chance to shine,” said Amie Sharp, PPCC’s Creative Writing Lead.

Students read at Centennial on October 15, hosted by Assistant Professor Brook Bhagat, and read at Rampart on October 16, hosted by Assistant Professor Cindy Skaggs.

More than 25 students, faculty, and staff shared short pieces of fiction, poetry, and creative-nonfiction. Bhagat, Sharp and Skaggs are grateful to the PPCC community for showing up to support creative writing.
