Global Village is an event PPCC hosts every week allowing students to talk about a wide range of topics focusing on getting the students’ opinions on various issues. Topics of discussion include Black History Month, technology and scientific advances, and The American Dream (to name a few).

Global Village intends to open a meaningful discussion about what matters to the students here at PPCC and build a stronger community because of it. One way they do this is with a roundtable discussion led by students so that every voice can be heard.

There will be an event each week at all three campuses. The Rampart Range Campus will host the Global Village every Tuesday from 1-2pm in the Atrium, the Downtown Studio Campus will host it Wednesdays from 12:30-1:30pm in the Breezeway, and the Centennial Campus will be hosting it Thursdays from 12:30-1:30pm in room A312. The last week Global Village will be on the week of May 4.

This week, there will be a screening of the film Unlikely. The focus of the discussion will be “Getting the most out of school,” which aims to get students thinking about the various skills they have and how they can apply it to college and life in general.
