Here’s what’s happening in Student Government for October:

Free Food at Q&A with PPCC President, Dr. Lance Bolton, and have a meal while you talk. This event is a good place for students to voice their questions and concerns to the administration face to face. If students are unable to be present, they can email me at or fill out comment cards in Student Life. The event runs three times this month: Downtown Campus: Monday, Oct. 16 in the Marie Walsh Sharp Creative Commons from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. ( bagels, coffee and juice will be served). Rampart Range Campus: Monday, Oct. 23 in the Atrium from 1 to 2 p.m. (sandwiches and drinks will be served). Centennial Campus: Monday, Oct. 30 in The Grove from 1 to 2 p.m. (sandwiches and drinks). All questions welcome!

SGA Joint Session meetings occur every Friday in room C-200 (Centennial) from 9 a.m. to noon. These are open to students. If students want to listen to what we are working on and doing, this is a great thing to attend. Students who attend the Joint Session will have a spot at the end to speak during the Student Voice portion.

We also have a meeting coming up on the Oct. 18 with the County Commissioner and the Autonomous  Vehicle Company to see if a plan can be worked out for the transportation of students, faculty and staff, plus Fort Carson personnel during peak hours to the Wal-mart shopping center across Academy from the Centennial Campus.
