Beginning at STIR Coffee and Cocktails, Witches, Warlocks, and Ghouls bike ride will pedal through downtown Colorado Springs with a serious mission: helping cancer patients in financial need.
Sponsored in part by PPSC, the ride is a family-friendly Halloween-themed event on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 10:30 A.M. It was a morning filled with laughter and creative costumes, with a send-off led by Chief of Staff, Jamie Fabos, at noon. The ghoulish ride ended at Acacia Park, where every participant enjoyed a spooky show put on by Milibo Art Theatre.
The proceeds of this event go towards the Memorial Foundation Circle of Hope Fund. This organization provides assistance for essential expenses like housing, food, transportation, and utilities during cancer treatment. In this fiscal year alone, The Circle of Hope has provided over $180,000 in assistance to families. Although there was no entry fee, 100% of the donations collected from this event go straight towards supporting cancer patients.
This Halloween ride was founded by Tecie Haller, nurse practitioner, and Dr. Mackenzie Daly, registered physician. The vision of these women was to bring together community-centered and passionate people to an event where they had the potential to make a real difference. While raising money for the cause they both care deeply about, they wanted to create a place where people could go to have fun and get to know their community.
Haller said how excited she is to be partnering with PPSC, “We’re excited to partner with the Engagement and Vents team at Pikes Peak State College’s Downtown Campus for this year’s Witches, Warlocks, and Ghouls Ride. This collaboration helps expand student access to meaningful community engagement opportunities.”
“With PPSC’s support we’re able to raise greater awareness for a critical cause while fostering a stronger connection between students and local nonprofits. The partnership allows students to experience philanthropy in action-while having a great time doing it,” she said.
