Student Government Association (SGA) is inviting students and staff to showcase their hidden talents at the upcoming “Aardvarks Got Talent Show and Comedy Roast” event.
The two-day event will kick off with auditions on May 1st from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM in the Centennial Theater, followed by the main show on May 2nd at the same time and location.
“We want participants to know that they are the reason the school’s organizations and clubs advocate for them every season,” said Alicia Esparza, one of the SGA organizers. “This event hopes to empower people by giving them a platform to showcase their special talents, gifts, and skills.”
The inspiration behind the event came from several talented SGA members who wanted to help others discover their own abilities. “These are the times when you can see if you have the metal to do it,” the organizers noted.
According to the SGA team, the primary goal is “to provide a venue for students and staff to showcase their talents in a secure environment.”
The event is free to attend and open to all students and staff of PPSC and their sister sites. It will be held on the Centennial campus.
For more information about the talent show or to inquire about auditions, interested participants can contact event hosts Alicia Esparza (Alicia.Esparza@pikespeak.edu) or Asterion Allen (Asterion.Allen@pikespeak.edu). Michelle Harris from the SGA is also helping to organize the event.
