PPSC students Emanuel Lopez and Trieu Ngyuen have received recognition from the city of Manitou Springs for their graphic design work during the 2024 Emma Crawford Coffin Race.
Ngyuen was awarded for his design of the brochure layout for the event, and Lopez for designing the logo for this year’s event. Both students are in the Multimedia Graphic Design (MGD AAS) degree program.
The two were rewarded with recognition from the city and VIP tickets to the coffin race. A testament to the academic successes of PPSC came when they were awarded by former PPSC student Calee Parker who now works for Manitou Springs Chamber of Commerce as a professional designer.
“I think it is an amazing story about how one of our past students landed a wonderful job with the City of Manitou Springs, then thought enough about the journey she underwent to secure her education at our college, that she then paid it back by bringing this opportunity to our students,” said Susanne Arens, MGD Instructor.
Congrats to Trieu, Emanuel and Calee for their success and continued representation of the school.
