Halloween is just around the corner, and Colorado Springs is bursting with sweet, spooky, and scary events!
Keep an eye out especially for PPCC’s Fall Family Festival on October 20 and the Centennial Campus screening of A Quiet Place on October 30.

October 20
PPCC Fall Family Festival: (free) The college will offer face painting, games, child ID kits, pizza, and photos with superheroes and princesses. Bring a food pantry donation. Located at Centennial Campus, A262. Family-friendly.

Waldo Waldo 5K Grand Finale: ($) This is the last year the “Where’s Waldo” 5K walk-and-run will be held, so register now. Family-friendly.

Auto Shop of Horror: ($) Check out Fort Carson for a unique automotive twist on the haunted house theme. Family-friendly.
October 25
Halloween Triple Feature (book club): (free, but expect to pay for a meal) Classic-Lit Readers of North Colorado Springs will meet at Panera Bread (3120 New Center Point location) to discuss three short stories: “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,” “The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde,” and “The Monkey’s Paw.”
October 26

Halloween Dance: ($) A family-friendly event from 6 to 9 p.m., hosted by the Arc. Family-friendly.

Ghosts of Downtown Pike Ride: ($) Cycle around the Downtown area and listen to ghost stories – 5 are true, but 5 are fake. Ages 21 and up.
Myths and Legends Halloween Hair Show: ($$) Eden’s Angels are hosting their third annual Halloween hair show. Benefits this year will go to Just Be Colorado, a non-profit for those battling cancer. Ages 21 and up.
Hocus Pocus: ($) AMC Chapel Hills 13 will hold special screenings of the beloved Halloween film at 12:30, 2:50, and 7:40 p.m. Family-friendly.
October 27
Emma Crawford Coffin Races and Festival: (free to $$$) Manitou Springs resident Emma Crawford was buried on nearby Red Mountain in 1891. Unfortunately, her remains slid down back to Manitou by 1929. In honor of her restless spirit, which is said to still haunt the mountain, several events are held, including a “coffin race” and after-parties, a horror movie night, a wake for Emma, and haunted tours. Most events are family-friendly, but some are 21 and up.
Safe Trick or Treat and Fall Festival: (free) From 3 to 5 p.m., First Christian Church will host games, crafts, and of course trick-or-treating! Family-friendly.
Halloween History Hunt: (free) The Pioneer Museum open-house event invites kids to explore the exhibits, listen to stories, and make a craft. Open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Family-friendly.
Erotic Exotic Ball: ($-$$) Enjoy exotic dancers, a costume contest, a haunted pop-up bar, and an Erotic Red Room. Ages 21 and up.

A Heady Halloween: ($) Celebrate 3 years of Sunshine Studios with DJs, glassblowing demonstrations, vendors, pumpkin carving, and more. Ages 18 and up.

October 28
Kids Halloween Carnival at Acacia Park: (free) Features a Touch-A-Truck area, a bounce house, crafts, games, and more. Family-friendly.

Howl-O-Ween: ($-$$) The Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center will be feeding the wolves special meat-filled pumpkins. There will also be a bonfire and refreshments. Family-friendly.

October 30

A Quiet Place: (free) PPCC’s The Grove at Centennial Campus will screen A Quiet Place, starring John Krasinski and Emily Blunt, at 6 p.m. Technically all ages are welcome, but discretion is advised.

October 31
Safe Treats: (free) In Old Colorado City, children and parents may trick-or-treat from shop to shop from 2 to 4:30 p.m. There will also be games and activities at the Old Town Plaza building. Family-friendly.
GLOWGA: ($-$$$) Wear white clothes and glowsticks for this Halloween-themed yoga session. Starts at 7:30 p.m.
BOO’d UP Halloween Blacklight Paint Party: ($-$$) Paint, dance, and drink wine amid blacklights at The Gallery Below. (Free entry to Haunted Mines with ticket.) Ages 21 and up.
November 2
Murder at the Speakeasy: ($$$) Enjoy dinner and help solve a Prohibition-era murder. Ages 12 and up.
November 3
Halloween ReVamped Show: ($) Come see “bewitching entertainers” at Zodiac Bar and Grill. “Who says Halloween can’t last all year?” Ages 21 and up.
Multiple Dates
Hellscream: ($$-$$$) an entertainment company which offers multiple experiences, including 2 haunted houses, 3 escape rooms, and zombie laser tag from now through November 3. The haunted houses, located throughout Colorado Springs, are the Hellscream Haunted House, the Haunted Mines, and Sinister Haunted House. Technically all ages are welcome, but discretion is advised.
Boo at the Zoo: ($) Trick-or-treat at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo on seven selected nights between October 19 and 31 from 4 to 8:30 p.m. Family-friendly.
Halloween Crawls: ($$-$$$) Several pub crawls are offered October 12 through 31 on a party bus. Themes include Harry Potter and Haunted Prom. Ages 21 and up.
Monster Mash: ($$-$$$) The Colorado Springs Philharmonic will perform selections from “John Williams’ The Empire Strikes Back, Lippa & Mizzy’s Addams Family,Patrick Doyle’s To Think of a Story from Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, Steiner’s King Kong, Hermann’s Psycho and more.” Concerts on October 26 and 27. Family-friendly.
Peaks and Pasties Cabaret: ($-$$) See the Trick or Treat Boolesque at Zodiac Bar and Grill on October 18 and 19, or wait a week and see Champagne Cabaret Presents: Dracula on October 26 and 27. Ages 21 and up.
Rocky Horror Picture Show: ($-$$$) Can’t get enough of the cult classic? Many shadow-casts are performing all over Colorado. Ages 18 and up.
Murder Mystery Train: ($$$$) Eat dinner, ride a train, and solve a murder! Ages 8 and up.
